SYNOPSIS: What do Theatre, Law and Science have in common? According to Li, a mysterious visitor who has recently arrived from Beijing, these may be nothing more than increasingly unbreakable parts of the same elaborate performance. Kathryn, a devout scientist, must learn to accept the role of her own fictional performance in upholding the order of science and reason in her city, or else succumb to the escalating absurdity of the characters that surround her.
