Lisa Estrada, an obese, Hispanic, pole-dancing instructor, who identifies as an Aztec, is “canceled” for blurting out antisemitic remarks and harmful conspiracy theories during her harbor-side pole classes. Estrada refuses to take accountability, and instead blames the men of Dana Point for her misfortunes and declares a gender war. The conservatives were already at war with the liberals, and now the men are at war with the women. A snowball takes effect: the City Council declares war on the Parks Department, Lisa Estrada declares war on the war itself, Billy Bohner declares (a one-man) war on the Jews. Everyone in the city is at war, but nobody can agree upon an important question: “Who is the enemy we’re fighting against?”
